The Reitz Programming Board (RPB) is a student-run programming board that strives to provide engaging, educational, and quality programming for the University of Florida. The purpose of RPB is to serve the diverse UF community as the primary programming arm of the J. Wayne Reitz Union. RPB provides such events in the Reitz Union with the combined efforts of four different committees and an Executive Board.
The Arts Committee seeks to bring the arts into the daily lives of students at the University of Florida, whether it be through ceramics, painting, or crafts. Our events are open to all, and no artistic experience is required to participate, so do not hesitate to join us in our next event. Past Arts Committee events include 2020 Vision and Aniramics
Directors: Shu Ting Lin & Natalie Heun
The Films Committee breaks the monotone day-to-day routines of academic life, offering students a time to relax with friends with weekend movie showings and themed Trivia Nights. We are not professional film critics, but we have fun conversations on current movies and work with GatorNights to bring free movies to campus. Past Films Committee events include Bohemian Rhapsody on the Lawn and an Interactive Film Experience: Knives Out.
Directors: Maya Caraballo & Lucas Da Silva
The Special Events Committee creates stronger student communities on campus by connecting student interests and current events. Our members are passionate about putting on diverse creative experiences for the student body by including different aspects of RPB’s committees. Some of our past events include Food and Dine Festival, a food-centric cultural showcase involving UF’s cultural organizations, and Love Yo’Self Day, an event focused on self-love.
Directors: Alexis Hebron & Sydnee Vance
The Talent Committee is dedicated to bringing a wide variety of entertainment and performances, including music artists, comedians, speakers and more, to UF’s diverse student body. We strive to unite members of the student body by programming events related to their interests and important moments in pop culture. Some past acts brought to campus by RPB include Nicole Byer, Matteo Lane, Chloe Hilliard and Noah Cyrus.
Directors: Christopher Cann & Ibiebeleme Opuso-Jama
